One of the most awarded companies in Chicago theatre, the Shattered Globe ensemble is best known for its intimate, character-driven interpretations of contemporary classics and classics-to-be. Since its founding in 1991, Shattered Globe has produced nearly 60 plays. Shattered Globe performs its plays at The Greenhouse Theater Center on Lincoln Avenue in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The company produces three shows each season and serves thousands of patrons annually. In its first decade, Shattered Globe was honored with 58 Jeff Award Nominations and 34 Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions like The Manchurian Candidate and Coyote on a Fence, making it the most awarded company in Non-Equity history. A professional Actors’ Equity-affiliated company since 2002, the company has received Equity Jeff Awards for Best Production (Judgment at Nuremberg) and Actor in a Principal Role (Maury Cooper, The Price). In total, the company has garnered 93 Jeff Award nominations and 42 Jeff Awards over the past 17 years.

Kevin Hagan Receives After Dark Award Nomination
Outstanding Set Design-Kevin Hagan, A Taste of Honey (Shattered Globe) & Candles to the Sun (Eclipse Theatre Company) - From the wood cabin of "Candles" that beautifully demonstrated the Spartan existence of mining families, to the beautifully dingy and shabby apartment in "Honey," Hagan's visual depth and versatility created innovative and exceptionally compelling settings.
