Eileen Niccolai (Various) is an ensemble member of Shattered Globe Theater. She has performed in several SGT productions over the past 14 years and has received two Joseph Jefferson Citations for her performances in And a Nightingale Sang and In a Pig's Valise. In the past year she has appeared at the Goodman Theater is their production of The Rose Tattoo and most recently in SGT's production of Judgment at Nuremberg.
Ben Werling (D.B. Norton) is proud to be returning to the Chicago stage, after a 7 year absence, with Meet John Doe at Shattered Globe. Ben last worked with this fantastic company in 1992 when he played abusive talk show host Barry Champlain in their acclaimed production of Talk Radio (for which he received the Joseph Jefferson Citation for Actor in a Principle Role). Ben appeared in the fall of 2003 as Bernard Nightingale in Indiana Repertory's production of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia. Other favorite Chicago roles include: Biff in Raven Theater's Death of a Salesman; a member of the Ensemble in A Clockwork Orange at Steppenwolf; the evil Villeforte in The Count of Monte Christo at Bailiwick; Prosecutor Challee in A Red Orchid's The Caine Mutiny Court Martial; and The Cabbie in Famous Door Theater's long running Hellcab. Ben would like to dedicate this performance to: Lucinda Bassett, S.T., Omar, Holly--and the memory and spirit of the much missed, but never forgotten, Kellie Waymire.
John Harrell (Hobo #2/Various) is thrilled to be working with Shattered Globe-a company he has long admired. Most recently, John was seen on stage in BTE"s production of A Streetcar Named Dersire in the role of Mitch, directed by Lou Contey. He has worked extensively throughout Chicago with theatres that include Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Court Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Oak Park Theatre Festival, Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, and The Goodman Theatre. John resides in Beverly with his wife Jan and three year old son, Morgan. John Harrell is represented exclusively by Arlene Wilson Talent.
Kevin Kenneally (Mike/Dan/Jimmy/Mayor & Ensemble) performed in last year's outstanding production of Judgment at Nuremberg. Some of Kevin's more recent roles include: Fred in Organic Theatre's production of Albee's The Lady from Dubuque, Thomas Putnam in TimeLine Theatre The Crucible (2002 Jeff Citations for Best Production and Best Ensemble), Penniman in Eclipse Theatre's Another Part of the Forest (2001 Jeff Citations for Best Production and Best Ensemble), and Gooper in Buffalo Theatre Ensemble's Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He has also worked with Lookingglass, Naked Eye, Remains, Raven, Famous Door, Remy Bumppo, Bailiwick, Wing & Groove, Strawdog and others too numerous to mention. Thanks to Lou and the gang at Shattered Globe for putting up with him again, and to his wife Jeanie for always putting up with him.
Julie Granata (Ann Mitchell) is proud to be a part of her first production with Shattered Globe. She received her B.F.A. in Acting from The Theatre School at Depaul University and has had the opportunity to work with many of Chicago's theatre companies and theatres including Goodman, Steppenwolf, Timeline, and Bailiwick. She has been seen most recently in Goodman Theatre's productions of Lobby Hero and The Play About The Baby, and performing for WBEZ's series Stories on Stage for National Public Radio. Julie can be seen in the upcoming feature film The Game of Their Lives. As always, she would like to thank her family and friends for all their love and support, Eric for perspective, and Elise for a decade of being "on call".
Brian McCartney (Henry J. Connell), originally from Toledo, Ohio, is thrilled to be working with Shattered Globe for the first time, and even more thrilled to be working with Lou Contey again after having appeared as Uncle Morty in TimeLine Theatre's multi-award winning Awake & Sing! Most recently, Brian played Welch in Eclipse Theatre's Rumors to close out their Season of Simon. He has also worked with several other Chicago-area theatres including several productions with TimeLine Theatre, Shakespeare on the Green, greasy joan & co., Hi-Volt, and The First Folio Shakespeare Festival. Love to Jessica.
Joe Forbrich (John Doe) is a co-founder of Shattered Globe Theatre. Joe's favorite roles at SGT include John Brennan in Coyote on a Fence, Marco in The Manchurian Candidate and Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire. He most recently appeared in Rose Rage at Chicago Shakespeare, The Sign of the Four at Apple Tree, Carousel and Funny Girl at Marriott Lincolnshire and Wendall Greene at the Steppenwolf Studio. He also appeared in Blue Surge at the Goodman and A Yard of Sun at Famous Door. TV credits include Early Edition, The Untouchables, Cupid and To Sir With Love II with Sidney Poitier, who behaved very nively toward him. Thanks SGT; it's always good to work from home.
Linda Reiter is an ensemble member and Artistic Co-Director at Shattered Globe Theatre where she was recently seen as Mrs. Bertholt in the critically acclaimed production, Judgment at Nuremberg. And, in the Goodman Theatre's "Albeefest" this fall, she appeared in Marriage Play. Over the past twelve years with SGT, Linda has been honored repeatedly by the Joseph Jefferson Committee, receiving Citations for best actress in a principle role (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, All My Sons, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and The Manchurian Candidate), and best actress in a supporting role (Invitation to a March and Bondagers). In addition, Linda was Jeff nominated for her work in the premiere of Flyovers at Victory Gardens Theater, Cheri at Live Bait Theater, and The Road to Mecca at SGT. In radio, Linda played opposite Kelsey Grammer in the remounting of The Manchurian Candidate for Chicago Theatres on the Air and she is part of a team of actors working for Radio Spirits to recreate all 160 of the original Twilight Zone episodes for radio and audio sales.
Doug McDade (Hobo #1) is an ensemble member of Shattered Globe Theatre Company. He most recently performed the role of Judge Haywood in their critically acclaimed 2003 production of Judgment at Nuremberg. He played George in SGT's 2002 award-winning production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, which received a Joseph Jefferson Citation for Ensemble. Doug received a Joseph Jefferson Citation for Actor in a Supporting Role in 1995 for his performance in the Chicago premier of SGT's "The Manchurian Candidate". His Joseph Jefferson nominations include Actor in a Principal Role for SGT's 1993 production of A View From The Bridge and Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of FDR in their 1999 production of Warhawks and Lindberghs. He trained at the London Shakespeare Studio and tutored privately with Sir Geoffrey Connor of The National Theatre of Great Britain.
Don Blair (Various) is originally from Redlands, California. He has been performing in Chicago for the past 20 years. Favorite roles include: Hardcastle in She Stoops to Conquer at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Ted in the recent Aardvark production of The Last Barbeque, and Weissman in Drury Lane Oakbrook's production of Follies. He has worked with nearly 20 different companies and has found each experience memorable and unique. This is his second assignment with SGT, having previously worked with Linda, Brian, and Lou in Love of a Good Man. He also worked with Lynne Halle in Collaboraction's To Kill a Mockingbird and the esteemed Mr. Maury Cooper in Court Theatre's productions of Heartbreak House, The Rivals, and The Masterbuilder. They were both a little younger then.
Maury Cooper (Colonel) most recently played in Entertaining Mr. Sloane at the Next Theatre. His Chicago credits include work at the Steppenwolf Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Court Theatre, and the Northlight Theatre. Nationally, Mr. Cooper has performed at the Yale Repertory; Stratford Shakespeare Theatre; Guthrie Theater, Minneapolis; Alley Theatre, Houston; Actors Theatre and LA Theatre Center, California; The Actors Theatre of Louisville; Indiana Rep; Milwaukee Rep; The Cleveland Play House; Shaw Festival, Niagara on the Lake; Denver Center; Portland Rep, Oregon; Charles Playhouse, Boston; and A.C.T.of Seattle. Internationally, Mr. Cooper has performed at the Manitoba Theatre Center and the Calgary Theatre in Canada, as well as performing in Buried Child in Tokyo, Japan.
Leonard J. Kraft (Sourpuss) returned to Chicago Theatre after a long absence to portray Sammy in Shattered Globe's 1999 production of Frozen Assets. Since then, he has appeared in more than a dozen productions. Highlights include Gremio in Taming of the Shrew (Wing and Groove Theatre), Colonel Isha, in Another Part of The Forest (Eclipse Theatre), Sorin in The Seagull (Timeline Theatre), Mr. Morse in Hot L Baltimore (Mary Arrchie Theatre), the Old Man in Fool For Love (Reverie Theatre), Polonius in Ophelia (Camenae Ensemble) and supporting roles in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Mother Courage (Steppenwolf Theatre). Thanks to Brian, Linda, Eileen, Doug, Joe and the rest of the Shattered Globe ensemble for welcoming me back so warmly.
Ann James (Hobo #3) last worked with Shattered Globe in 1993's Holy Ghosts. In the meantime, she founded Chicspeare Production Co., a touring theater which has made Shakespeare accessible to more than 60,000 Chicagoans from age 2 to 92 with productions and programs in places as diverse as a classroom at DuSable, the library in Cicero, a park in Naperville and a union hall on the East Side. (More info is available at chicspeare.org). As an actor, Ann has worked with Aardvark, Lifeline, Roadworks and Stage Left theatres.
Scott Aiello (Bert Hansen) may be remembered to Shattered Globe fans as Mr. Peterson from last year's production and remount of Judgment at Nuremberg. He is proud to, once again, be working with this talented ensemble of actors and for the fifth time with Lou Contey. Only three years out the door, Scott has appeared in dozens of Chicago productions with companies such as Timeline Theatre (Awake and Sing!),Baliwick Repertory (Survive This!-winner), and Pegasus Players (The Waverly Gallery). Most recently, Scott played Stanley Jerome in Pegasus Players' critically acclaimed Broadway Bound. He would like to send all his love and thanks to his family and friends for their never-ending support.

Lou Contey (Director/Co-Adapter) is resident director at Shattered Globe. Where he has been a member for eleven years. He has directed or designed sets for over 50 plays, among them Judgment at Nuremberg, Awake and Sing, The Marriage Play, Haymarket 8, Stalag 17. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, A View From the Bridge, The Manchurian Candidate, All My Sons, A Streetcar Named Desire, Rocket to the Moon. He has directed at Goodman, Steppenwolf, Timeline and ATC among others. He has received 6 Jeff Citations for Directing and One for Scenic Design. He received his MFA from the Theatre School, Depaul University.
Dori A. Robinson (Co-Adapter/Dramaturg) is thrilled to be working with Shattered Globe for the first time. In Chicago, Dori directed Perpetual for the Living Room Project's Harvest Festival and was the assistant director for Theatre-Hike's Love's Labor's Lost. Dori has previously dramaturged Three Sisters, The Fever, and The Tempest. Several of her plays have been produced, including Six Wings to One, for which she won the Steinberg Playwriting Award. Dori is a graduate of Brandeis University.
Brian Pudil (Co-Producer) is a founding member and Artistic Co-Director of SGT. He was last seen as Colonel Parker in Judgement at Nuremberg. Brian previously appeared as DiRossi in Time of the Cuckoo, and Dick in High Life, which won an After Dark Award for Best Ensemble and was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Ensemble. In the past 13 seasons, he has appeared in, produced, or worked on every production since SGT's inception. Performance highlights include: Frozen Assets, Coyote on a Fence, Manchurian Candidate, All my Sons, A View from the Bridge, and Beckett. He sends his love and thanks to his family, the ensemble, and the board members for all their support.
Jeremy Wintroub (Co-Producer) is a member of the Shattered Globe Ensemble, where he last produced Judgment at Nuremberg (Jeff Award Nominee-Best Production) He previously produced Time of the Cuckoo. High Life, which was nominated for two Joseph Jefferson Awards, and the Jeff Award-winning Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and worked in various capacities on Coyote on a Fence and Invitation to a March. He is also Managing Director of SGT. In addition Jeremy currently serves as Tour Manager for Broadway in Chicago's Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz. He wishes to thank his family, as well as all of his collaborators at Shattered Globe.
Kevin Hagan (Production Manager and Set Design) is a graduate of the Architecture and Interior Design Program at Louisiana State University and received an MFA in Scenic Design from the Theatre School, DePaul University. Recent Chicago credits include: Judgment at Nuremberg and Time of the Cuckoo for Shattered Globe, Not About Nightingales and Streeterville at TimeLine Theatre Company, High Life for Victory Gardens and Shattered Globe, Nelson and Simone for Live Bait Theater, and Another Part of the Forest for Eclipse Theatre Company. As a company member at Shattered Globe Theatre, Kevin has designed for Rocket to the Moon (Jeff nominated) Escape from Happiness, Lower Depths (Jeff Citation), Coyote on A Fence, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Jeff nominated).
Emily Pedigo (Production Stage Manager) is a recent addition to the Chicago theatre scene, Emily has stage managed for Emerald City Theatre Company and Bailiwick Repertory. Originally from California, she stage managed and worked professionally around the San Francisco Bay Area for award-winning theatre companies including Theatreworks, Foothill Musical Theatre, and Teatro Vision. Before leaving California, she completed The Foothill Theatre Conservatory with honors and received two Associate of Arts degrees in Stage Management and Drama from Foothill College. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Purdue University in Indiana with honors and won best undergraduate actor of the year. Emily is also a playwright.
Shelley Strasser-Holland (Lighting Designer) has been a company member of The Shattered Globe Theatre ensemble and since 1993 has designed many productions including both productions of Judgment at Nuremberg, Time of the Cuckoo, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, High Life (co-production with Victory Gardens), The Lower Depths, Rocket to the Moon, Talk Radio, The Dresser, God's Country, Les Liaison's Dangereuses, The Manchurian Candidate, A Streetcar Named Desire, All My Sons and Anna Karenina. Other design credits include Over the River and Through the Woods at the Mercury Theatre, Romeo & Juliet, Proposals, Macbeth, Over the River and Through the Woods and Getting Away with Murder for The Center in Munster, IN; Hay Market Eight at Steppenwolf Theatre; Beautiful Helen of Troy at Light Opera Works; Kevin Cole's Gershwin Solo and Celebration at the Ivanhoe Theatre; A Piece of My Heart for Eureka College; The Threepenny Opera and Stalag 17 (1997 Jeff Citation in lighting) for American Theatre Company; Tartuffe, Painting Churches and The Velveteen Rabbit at Indiana University Northwest and for River North Dance Company/Frank Chavez's Temporal Trance. Shelley received her MFA in Theatre Design from Northwestern University. In addition to her work in the arts, Shelley is the Operations Manager for CenterStage Productions, an aerobics instructor and a mom to Katie Holland!
Andrew Hansen (Sound & Musical Direction) returns to Shattered Globe where he designed Judgement at Nuremberg and Time of the Cuckoo. Other credits include Our Town & Rocket To The Moon with Writer's Theatre, Marisol and The Comedy of Errors with greasy joan & co. and many, many Timeline Theatre productions, including the current Paragon Springs and future It's All True. He is an uncle.
Nicole René Burchfield (Costume Designer) She is more than delighted to be back at Shattered Globe Theatre Company playing her part in creating a powerful new work. During the day, she works for the Joffrey Ballet Company as the Crafts Director and Wardrobe Assistant; you may have noticed her work on those sexy, striped tights in Romeo and Juliet this past fall. In her spare time she designs for theatre, dance and opera in Chicago and around the country. Some of her recent designs include Judgment at Nuremberg with Shattered Globe Theatre Company, The Winter Dance Concert at Ohio University, The Good Doctor at Northeastern Illinois University, The Nutcracker with Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble, Carmen with American Opera Group, Voices with Healthworks, Another Part of the Forest (Jeff Nominated) with Eclipse Theatre Company, Streeterville, The Crucible (Jeff Nominated), Awake and Sing!, Hauptmann, and The Lion in Winter with TimeLine Theatre Company. She holds a BA in Theatre and Music from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MFA in Costume Design and Technology from Northern Illinois University.
Julie Kabb (Publicist) grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and attended the University of Cincinnati, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts in the spring of 1997. Following college, she moved to New York City, where she worked in the Talent Department and as an Assistant to the Executive Producer for The Rosie O'Donnell Show. After nearly two years in live television, she began working as a Junior Publicist for Wolf Kasteler and Associates, where she handled publicity on local and national levels for clients, including actors, directors, and producers. In the fall of 1999, upon her triumphant return to her hometown of Chicago, she became employed by Hess Newmark Owens Wolf, where she specializes in publicizing and promoting film clients, including Warner Bros., MGM, United Artists, and Sony Pictures Classics.
Eric Wagner (Graphic Designer) has worked with Shattered Globe Theatre since 2001, beginning with the design of the company's current visual identity and continuing with the creation of all forms of integrated communications. For SGT's Judgment at Nuremberg, Eric designed the educational lobby installation and study guide. When the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs re-opened its historic Loop Theater, Eric designed the theater's signage and print promotions. His latest efforts for SGT's Meet John Doe include the design of the meetjohndoe.org website, posters, postcard, buttons, e-mails and a promotional newspaper. In addition to cultural organizations, Eric designs communications for a variety of industries including technology, architecture, healthcare and fashion.
